Summary
SpacePiece is a local-first macOS file manager. The app does not collect, sell, or share personal data with the developer.
Data processed by the app
SpacePiece displays and modifies files and folders that you choose to access on your Mac, attached volumes, or supported server and cloud locations that you add. File names, paths, favorites, tabs, saved workspaces, connection names, and view preferences are used to provide file management features.
Data collection
SpacePiece does not include analytics, advertising SDKs, tracking SDKs, or remote telemetry. The app does not send your file contents, file names, folder paths, server credentials, or usage activity to us.
Local storage
The app may store local preferences such as favorite locations, pane layout, tabs, saved workspaces, connection metadata, and display options on your Mac. Server passwords and tokens are stored in the macOS Keychain when needed. These settings remain on your device unless you choose to sync or back them up using system features outside of SpacePiece.
Connected servers and cloud services
If you add a server or cloud account, SpacePiece connects to that service to browse, upload, download, move, rename, or delete files as requested by you. For Dropbox, authentication is handled through Dropbox OAuth and the resulting token is stored locally in Keychain. Network requests for those services are exchanged directly with the service you configured.
Permissions
SpacePiece may request access to files, folders, external volumes, or Finder automation when you use features that require those permissions, such as opening folders or emptying the Trash. These permissions are used only to perform the action you requested.
Website hosting
This website is hosted by Cloudflare. Cloudflare may process technical request information such as IP address, browser metadata, and access logs as part of providing hosting and security services.
